West indies Bay essential oil is renown in the islands for its hair care benefits. It is said to stop hair loss, help hair growth and control dandruff. Tonifying, stimulating and warming, West indies bay essential is appreciated both for its powerful purifying effects and for its sweet, fresh and spicy fragrance.

Massages & body care

 

  • Body massage  use 1 to 6 drops essential oil for 10 ml carrier oil (0.5 to 2 % concentration) ++
  • Face care use 1 to 3 drops essential oil for 10 ml carrier or base (0.5 to 1 % concentration) ++
  • Body & Hair care use 2 to 6 drops essential oil for 10 ml carrier or base (1 to 2 % concentration) +++
  • Mouth in mouth wash and homemade toothpastes ++

 

Diffusion

 

  • Ultrasonic Diffusers for air purification, use 10 mn 3 times a day. ++

TRADITIONALLY USED FOR

SOME RECIPES | SYNERGIES

1. Scalp Stimulating Hair Oil:

  • 2 tablespoons of Jojoba oil
  • 5 drops of West Indies Bay essential oil
  • 5 drops of Rosemary essential oil
  • 5 drops of Lavender essential oil

Combine all the ingredients in a glass bottle. Massage a small amount into the scalp to promote hair growth and health.

2. Invigorating Bath Soak:

  • 1 cup of Epsom salts
  • 5 drops of West Indies Bay essential oil
  • 5 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil
  • 5 drops of Peppermint essential oil

Combine ingredients and store in a glass jar. Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the mixture in a warm bath for an invigorating and refreshing soak.

3. Soothing Muscle Massage Oil:

  • 2 tablespoons of Sweet Almond oil
  • 5 drops of West Indies Bay essential oil
  • 5 drops of Wintergreen essential oil
  • 5 drops of Frankincense essential oil

Mix all these ingredients into a small glass bottle, shake well, and massage onto sore muscles as needed. Always do a patch test first to ensure there is no skin irritation.

4. Calming Diffuser Blend:

  • 3 drops of West Indies Bay essential oil
  • 2 drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 1 drop of Ylang Ylang essential oil

Add these oils to your diffuser according to the manufacturer's instructions. Enjoy the calming and grounding aroma in your home or office.

5. Energizing Room Spray:

  • 1 cup of distilled water
  • 10 drops of West Indies Bay essential oil
  • 10 drops of Grapefruit essential oil
  • 10 drops of Lemon essential oil

Combine all the ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well before each use and lightly mist the room for an energizing scent.

 

As with any essential oil, it's always a good idea to do a patch test first to ensure there's no skin irritation, and to consult with a healthcare provider or aromatherapist if you have any concerns. 

Also, remember that West Indies Bay essential oil is potent and should not be ingested, and should be used in moderation. It should also be avoided by pregnant or nursing women, and by those with sensitive skin.
