Synergies | Recipes - Eczema - Soothing Skin Oil
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
- 8 drops German Chamomile essential oil (Matricaria chamomilla)
- 5 drops Tea Tree essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
- 1 oz Jojoba carrier oil (Simmondsia chinensis)
- 1 oz Calendula-infused oil (Calendula officinalis)
Mixing Instructions: Combine the Lavender, German Chamomile, and Tea Tree essential oils in a small, dark glass bottle. Add the Jojoba carrier oil and Calendula-infused oil to the bottle. Gently shake the bottle to mix the oils thoroughly.
Caution: When using essential oils, it is crucial to always dilute them with a carrier oil or in a diffuser, as applying undiluted oils directly to the skin may cause irritation or adverse reactions.
Additionally, it is highly recommended to perform a patch test before using any essential oil for the first time.
To conduct a patch test, dilute a small amount of the essential oil in a carrier oil and apply it to a small area of your skin. Wait for 24 hours to observe any signs of redness, itching, or irritation.
If you experience any adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Remember, essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts and should be used with caution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
