Calming Cream for Irritated Skin (with Carrier Oil):

This cream is gentle enough for sensitive or atopic skin.

  • Ingredients:

    • 2 tablespoons licorice-macerated sunflower oil
    • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
    • 1 tablespoon calendula oil
  • Instructions:

    1. In a clean bowl, whisk together the aloe vera gel and licorice-macerated sunflower oil.
    2. Slowly whisk in the calendula oil until well combined.
    3. You can transfer the mixture to a pump bottle for easier dispensing. (If using a jar, use clean utensils to avoid contamination) *To use: Apply a generous amount to irritated or atopic skin. Reapply as needed.

Additional Tips:

  • You can adjust the consistency of these recipes based on your preference. Add more shea butter for a thicker balm or more aloe vera gel for a lighter lotion.
  • Always store homemade skincare products in a cool, dark place and use within 3 months.
  • If you have any concerns about using essential oils, consult a dermatologist or skip them altogether.

Important Note: Always do a patch test before applying any new product to your skin. Apply a small amount on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours to check for any irritation.
