DESCRIPTION

Bitter tonic, known to be use for helping with those conditions

Cholagogue, Antiviral, Choleretic, Antidepressant, Antioxidant, liver protection

INFUSION

Drink 1 to 2 cups of a standard leaf infusion (1 headed tsp dried herb, or 2 tsp chopped herb in 175 ml boiling water) daily to stimulate milk production when breast feeding.

 

The infusion can be used to stimulate a sluggish digestion

DECOCTION

Take 1/2 cup of a standard decoction of the cracked seeds daily for liver disorders.

TINCTURE

take 20 to 50 drops of the seed tincture with a little water 3 times daily for piles, liver and Gail bladder problems or to stimulate the digestion. 

CAPSULES

Regular use of milk thistle capsules may help in the treatment of liver problems

INDICATIONS

Herbal leaves and Flowers

Place 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to infuse for 8 to 10 mn. Strain

 

Herbal powders

Place 1 teaspoon in a cup whilst adding adding warm water and stirring slowly

 

Seeds, Bark, Roots, Stems and Berries

Add 20 grams to 500 ml of water. Bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 20 mn. Strain and drink warm or cold
