Facial cleansing oil/ Make-up removal
Our face cleansing oil removes waterproof makeup, sunscreen, and daily impurities without stripping your skin’s barrier.
This caring blend of pure HTC-free Hemp seed, Jojoba, Passion fruit seed, Kalahari melon seed, Macadamia nut and furocoumarin-free lemon oils provides effective cleansing for all skin types, including fragile, reactive, sensitive or mature skins.
The synergy of oils balances oil production helps calm discomforts and supports lasting hydration. Antioxidants and natural lipids strengthen the barrier, leaving the skin clean, clear, soft, and comfortable after every use.
Note that: our face cleansing oil is a pure plant oil blend and contains no emulsifiers.
To remove, use a warm, damp cloth, as the oil does not turn “milky” or rinse away with water alone.
With this minimalist and gentle unaltered plant-based formula, we prioritize purity and simplicity to preserve natural skin lipids and avoids unnecessary surfactant exposures.

ATTENTION-IMPORTANT: ABOUT USING THE NATURAL FACIAL CLEANSING OIL BLEND FOR WATERPROOF MAKEUP REMOVAL
We always recommend a patch test to check for any unwanted reactions before using a new product on a large part of your skin, specifically on the more delicate, thinner skin face.
- Dab a small amount of oil just under your ear or to a small area of your jawline (less visible) before going to bed.
- Next morning, check for any signs of irritation (itching, discomfort, redness…)
- Avoid if reaction occurs. If you don’t notice any changes, enjoy using the cleansing oil on the rest of your face.
- Always keep oils out of the eye itself.
- Always be gentle when it comes to cleansing your face; Respect pause time, do not rub, use soft facecloth.
- Ensure complete oil removal and rinse thoroughly (clean cloth) to avoid build and break-ups.
HOW TO USE
This minimalist formula contains only pure plant oils and no added emulsifiers. It is gentle and low in potential irritants. Because oil and water stay separate, our cleanser DOES NOT turn milky on contact with water (no emulsification)—Remove the cleansing oil with a lukewarm, soft damp cloth (not just running water).
STEP-BY-STEP OIL CLEANSING RITUAL
- Use at night if wearing make-up for a thorough face cleanse; Use in the morning if you have dry skin
- Oil cleansing is always the first step in your skincare routine
- Many find that consistently using an oil cleanser increases moisture levels and decreases irritation from dehydration
- This may result in requiring less serum and moisturizer over time.
- Finish with a toning spray with a hydrosol of your choice.
- Apply your serum (if using) and moisturize.
For Evening Application (Deep cleanse/ make-up removal)
- Dry Massage
- Warm 1 to 2 teaspoons of the face cleansing oil in the palm of your hands;
- Apply the oil to dry skin all over your face and neck (to cover the make-up).
- PAUSE for a few seconds, to let the facial oil bind and dissolve the make-up.
- Use your fingertips to gently massage the oil into your skin for several seconds to a minute. Use calm, GENTLE circular and upward motions to dissolve makeup, dirt, and impurities. Be especially gentle on your lips and over the eyes (finger tips). Use this pampering moment as a conscious wellbeing pause, an opportunity to relax, nurture and be kind to yourself, a massage to release the tensions of the day or a meditation time to start your day anew.
2. Lukewarm Rinse-damp soft cloth Removal
- Use a damp, lukewarm*, soft facecloth. Drape the cloth over your face and gently wipe away oil and impurities. (Be gentle and careful not to press too hard or scrub your skin, which can lead to irritation)
- Repeat if needed. Rinse the cloth under running water and continue wiping gently until the cloth is clean and no more make-up is pulled out.
*Body temperature (30-35°): cleans thoroughly without irritation (Avoid hot/ steamy temperatures, as excess heat dissolves natural lipids and may triggers redness and flare-ups; cold temperature thickens oils, fails to dissolve makeup and can leave residue)
3.Double cleanse. Optional, for oily or acne-prone skin, consider double cleansing with a gentle water-based cleanser (see below)
4. Cool Splash. Optional, if you wish, finish with a brief cool splash to calm capillaries and reduce morning puffiness (skip if you have rosacea that flares with temperature swings)
5. Finishing: Gently pat dry with a soft towel. Hydrate your skin with a spray/hydrosol of your choice: tea tree (Acne prone, blemish, ingrown hair…), Aloe vera (hydrating), lavender (soothing), rose, chamomile (calming)… and lock-in with your favourite moisturizer.
For Morning Applications.
- Morning cleanse is more to refresh, avoid products build-ups if you use night treatments, and prepare your skin for the products that you're going to apply.
- Use a smaller amount (½ teaspoon) for gentle morning cleansing.
Double Cleansing Method
For thorough cleansing, especially for oily, acne prone or when wearing heavy, waterproof makeup or sunscreen.
Double cleansing can work for all skin types, including oily skin and dry skin. This method provides thorough cleansing while respecting your skin health and protecting its barrier function.
- Follow the oil cleansing steps above
- After removing oil and impurities with the facecloth, wash your face with a gentle, water-based liquid soap, that won't strip your skin of its new hydration. (Check the ingredient label: water should be the first ingredient listed, as the major component in the formula)
- This method ensures all oil and impurities are completely removed
How to Use our facial cleanse oil for Eye Makeup Removal.
Start with this step before cleansing the rest of your face if you are wearing stubborn waterproof eye makeup.
Yoak a cotton pad in the oil and hold it over your eyes for a few moments
- Add few drops of oil to a cotton pad.
- Close your eye and hold the saturated pad over your lid for 20 to 30 seconds. —this will help loosen up and dissolve mascara and eyeliner.
- Then gently swipe the pad away to remove your makeup, without rubbing. Repeat if necessary.
- If there is still makeup in your lash line, add a drop or two of oil on a cotton bud and run along the lash line (avoid contact within the eye)
- Always remove your waterproof mascara carefully and gently. If you rub too hard, you will end up pulling out some of your eyelashes and irritating the skin area around your eyes.
RECIPES
If you prefer the option of an easy rinse, “all in one double cleansing” oil to use on rush days, you may choose to add a little bit of a liquid soap to your pure cleansing oil and remove waterproof makeup in one go.
10–20% of added liquid soap should give you the “milky” emulsion and rinse-off results that you expect during cleansing. This ratio is considered safe and non-stripping IF you use a mild, neutral and gentle liquid soap.
For 50ml face cleansing oil
- Add 10% soap, 5ml (1 teaspoon) liquid soap
- Add 20% soap,10ml (2 teaspoons) liquid soap
For 100ml face cleansing oil
- Add 10% soap, 10ml (2 teaspoons) liquid soap
- add 20% soap, 20ml (4 teaspoons or 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon) liquid soap
- Combine the measured oils and liquid soap in a clean bottle.
- Shake until fully blended and uniform.
- Label the bottle and patch-test before first use.
How to use:
Apply to dry face, massage gently, add a little water and continue massaging. The blend should turn milky. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm running water and pat dry. No cloth needed for removal.
For those with extremely delicate or reactive skin, a ratio closer to 10% (using only non-drying, pH-appropriate surfactants) is safest. Or use the pure oil. As always, patch-testing is recommended
Note: Keeping oils in their pure state preserve their benefit for skin properties. Adding soap transforms the properties of the oils, making them function as "oil-to-milk” more water rinseable product, that prioritize convenience and thorough rinsing.
CAUTION
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- As a rule, always perform a skin patch test before using a new product for the first time on a larger part of your skin.
