Description

Wilde Als (Artemisia afra), Also known as African Wormwood

Unlike a tincture, our premium, dried cut herbs allow you to use this plant in all its traditional forms, making it a staple for any herbal wellness cabinet.

Key Traditional Uses & Applications:

Herbal Tea (Infusion): The most common use. The herb is steeped in hot water to create a potent, bitter tonic.

This is traditionally sipped to support the body during colds, flu, fevers, and coughs. It is also used to stimulate digestion, ease indigestion, and relieve bloating.

Steam Inhalation (Vapour): A powerful traditional method for respiratory relief. Add a handful of the dried herb to a bowl of hot water, drape a towel over your head, and inhale the aromatic steam to help clear nasal passages and ease coughs.

Herbal Bath or Wash: Can be added to a warm bath or steeped to create a "wash" for external use.

DIY Preparations: This is the pure, raw ingredient for you to make your own fresh teas, poultices, or even your own herbal-infused oils at home.

Important Cautions: Artemisia afra is a very potent herb and is intended for short-term use only.

Do NOT use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive.

The traditional tea is very bitter; this is a sign of its therapeutic (bitter tonic) properties.

Consult a healthcare professional before use, especially if you are on any medication.
