    Description

     

    Artemisia afra is a perennial shrub native to Africa, growing up to 2 meters tall. It has ribbed, woody stems with finely divided, fern-like leaves that are dark green on top and covered with small white hairs underneath. When dried for tisane, the leaves and stems maintain their characteristic strong, aromatic scent.
