Osmanthus Absolute Oil

Osmanthus absolute oil is a precious and rare aromatic extract derived from the flowers of Osmanthus fragrans, a small evergreen tree or shrub native to Asia, particularly China.

Traditional Uses

Osmanthus has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for its antioxidant, antirheumatic, and antibacterial properties. 

It is also commonly used as a flavoring agent in teas and as a fragrance in perfumery.

While not widely used in aromatherapy due to its cost and limited research, Osmanthus absolute is believed to have the following properties:

Recipes

1. Osmanthus Luxury Perfume

• 2 drops Osmanthus absolute
• 5 drops Jasmine absolute
• 3 drops Vanilla CO2 extract
• 2 drops Sandalwood essential oil
• 10 ml Jojoba oil

Blend all ingredients in a glass roller bottle. Allow to mature for at least 2 weeks before use.

2. Osmanthus Skin Nourishing Oil

• 1 drop Osmanthus absolute
• 3 drops Lavender essential oil
• 2 drops Frankincense essential oil
• 30 ml Rosehip seed oil

Mix all ingredients in a dark glass bottle. Apply a small amount to cleansed skin as a nourishing treatment.

3. Osmanthus Uplifting Diffuser Blend

• 1 drop Osmanthus absolute
• 3 drops Bergamot essential oil
• 2 drops Sweet Orange essential oil
• 1 drop Ylang Ylang essential oil

Add to your diffuser with the appropriate amount of water for an uplifting and joyful aroma.

These recipes can be adjusted based on personal preference and skin sensitivity.
