PLEASE NOTE: Mandarin color, as a fruit, starts up green, its skin rich in chlorophyll. As the fruit matures and the days shortens, the mandarin skin loses its charge in chlorophyll and takes on a yellow color up to the ripe bright orange skin. Mandarin essential oils are obtained by the cold expression of the pericarp, also called fruit skin or peel.
The 3 colors variant of Mandarin essential oils, green- yellow-orange, are therefore not obtained from different variety of Mandarin but solely from the Citrus reticulata Blanco. The fruits are just harvested and distilled at different stages of their maturity and that is reflected in the resulting essential oil color.
While all mandarin essential oils share the same relaxing and calming properties, the essential oil of green Mandarin will have a more acidic, crisp, greener and tonic aroma, the yellow mandarin essential oil will be sweeter, slightly more fruity and floral than the green and finally the orange Mandarin essential oil is the sweetest, roundest and fruitiest of them all.
CAUTION
Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy / breastfeeding

As a general rule, always perform a skin patch test before using your essential oils for the first time.
