Interesting Facts

Note Details
Not Common Tansy Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annuum) should not be confused with Common Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), which contains thujone and is toxic. Blue Tansy contains no thujone, but is rich in chamazulene.
Seasonal Oil An annual plant, flowering once a year in Morocco. This makes Blue Tansy oil highly seasonal and precious.
Beautiful Blue Color The distinctive deep blue is due to chamazulene, also found in German Chamomile, but in much higher concentration (up to 30% in Blue Tansy vs ~5% in German Chamomile).
Cosmetic Note May stain fabrics but gives creams/balms a lovely natural blue tint.
