Agathosma betulina, formerly known as Barosma betulina, is a plant native to South Africa that produces a valuable hydrosol through steam distillation.

Composition


The Buchu hydrosol contains distilled water (99.95%) and trace amounts of hydrosoluble aromatic components from its essential oil (less than 0.05%), including isomenthone, D-limonene, menthone, eucalyptol, and flavonoids.
