How to Choose the Concentration of Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid Serum (LMW)

Choose Your Perfect Hydration Level: 1% | 1.5% | 2%

Deep hydration starts with the right concentration.

Our Hyaluronic Acid serums are formulated with Low Molecular Weight (LMW) HA, designed to hydrate beyond the surface for visibly plumper, smoother skin. Each strength offers a different level of hydration and texture—so you can choose what works best for your skin.

Hyaluronic acid comes in different molecular sizes.

Choose Your Hydration Level

Select your ideal strength to give your skin exactly what it needs—no more, no less.

Choose HA serum 1% if:
You want a weightless, fast-absorbing hydrator that won’t feel heavy or interfere with oily or breakout-prone skin. Best for Oily and Acne-Prone Skins. Suits sensitive skins (Lower concentrations carry a much lower risk of causing irritation or redness).

Choose HA serum 1.5% if:
You want a balanced, everyday serum that keeps skin hydrated and comfortable without feeling thick. Best for Normal and Combination Skins.

Choose HA serum 2% if:
Your skin feels dry, tight, or dehydrated and needs a richer, more intensive hydration boost. Best for Very Dry and Mature Skins.

Note that:

Higher concentrations provide more hydration but also feel thicker and slightly tacky (Like HA 2%). The best option depends on your skin type and preference.

Good for every day uses: hyaluronic acid is gentle and suitable for daily use, morning and evening.

Hyaluronic acid does not clog pores:  Hyaluronic acid is non-comedogenic and suitable for acne-prone skin.

Higher concentrations (like 2%) naturally feel more viscous/ sticky due to increased water-binding capacity. This is normal and improves once sealed with a moisturizer.

Can be combined it with other actives ingredients: Hyaluronic acid pairs well with vitamin C, niacinamide (Vit.B3) and most water-based serums or ingredients (Aloe vera, hydrosols....

How to Use

  1. Apply after cleansing, to slightly damp skin (you can use a spray of water or a hydrosol of your choice)

  2. Use 2–3 drops and spread evenly over face and neck

  3. Follow with a moisturizer or facial oil to lock in hydration (Hyaluronic acid works best when sealed in with a cream or oil—especially in dry climates)

Reported properties and benefits for skin:

  • Deep, lasting hydration

  • Supports smoother, plumper-looking skin

  • Improves skin feel and softness

  • Helps reduce the look of fine dehydration lines

  • Suitable for daily use

SIMPLE COMBINATION RECIPES

The following ideas/ recipes are simple starting points for personal home use. You can adjust the hydrosol type, the Hyaluronic Acid strength (1%, 1.5% or 2%), and even add other water-based serums that suit your skin. Always keep your tools clean, make small batches.

Always patch test first, and if you have very sensitive skin or a diagnosed skin condition, consult a skincare professional before introducing new products. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Hyaluronic Hydrating Mist (100 ml) A light, everyday facial mist with aloe, hyaluronic acid and vegetable glycerin, to add a layer of hydration before applying your moisturizer or facial oil.

Ingredients:

  • 90 ml of any hydrosol of your choice (Aloe vera, rose damask, lavender, cape chamomile…)

  • 8 ml of Hyaluronic Acid serum (choose 1%, 1.5% or 2% based on your skin)

  • 2 ml Vegetable glycerin

And 1 x clean and dry 100 ml spray bottle

In a clean small cup or jug add:

  • 2ml vegetable glycerin, 8 ml Hyaluronic Acid serum and stir until the two are evenly mixed.

  • Pour 90 ml aloe hydrosol into your 100 ml bottle.

  • Add the glycerin + HA mixture into the bottle.

  • Close the bottle and shake gently to combine. Label and date.

  • 10 ml liquid Aloe vera gel “juice” (1:1 gel in liquid form)

  • 8 ml of Hyaluronic Acid serum (choose your preferred strength)

For extra moisture, follow with your regular moisturizer or facial oil to lock in the hydration. Store in a cool, dry place (refrigeration gives a nice extra-cooling effect) and use within 2–3 months.

Always patch test first, especially if your skin is sensitive or sunburned. Do not apply to broken or blistered skin; if you have severe sunburn, consult a medical professional.

Combine: Slowly add the glycerin + HA into the aloe mixture while stirring.

  • 20 ml aloe hydrosol (or any gentle hydrosol)

  • 15 ml of Hyaluronic Acid serum (1%, 1.5% or 2%)

  • 5 ml vegetable glycerin

1 clean and dry 100 ml serum pump or flip-top bottle (not spray), a cup, a bowl/jug, a spoon.
