Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp Jojoba Oil (carrier oil)
- 1 tbsp Shea Butter
- 4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 4 drops Roman Chamomile Essential Oil
- 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
- 1 tsp Beeswax
Mixing Instructions:
-
In a double boiler or heatproof bowl placed over a pot of simmering water, gently melt the Shea butter and Beeswax, stirring occasionally until fully melted and combined.
-
Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly for about 1-2 minutes.
-
Add the Jojoba oil to the Shea butter and Beeswax mixture, and stir until fully incorporated.
-
Allow the mixture to cool down a bit more, but make sure it remains liquid. When it has cooled down enough (warm to the touch but not hot), add the Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Frankincense essential oils, stirring well to ensure even distribution.
-
Pour the mixture into a clean glass jar or container and let it cool completely. As the mixture cools, it will thicken and solidify into a rich, creamy texture.
-
To use, apply a small amount of the Lavender & Chamomile Night Cream onto your face and neck before bed, gently massaging it into your skin using circular motions.
Caution: When using essential oils, it is crucial to always dilute them with a carrier oil or in a diffuser, as applying undiluted oils directly to the skin may cause irritation or adverse reactions.
Additionally, it is highly recommended to perform a patch test before using any essential oil for the first time.
To conduct a patch test, dilute a small amount of the essential oil in a carrier oil and apply it to a small area of your skin. Wait for 24 hours to observe any signs of redness, itching, or irritation.
If you experience any adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Remember, essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts and should be used with caution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
