• WAVY/ “S” shaped hair (2A-2C): Can range from loose, barely-there waves to more defined, flowing waves;
• CURLY/ spirals or ringlets (3A-3C): Can vary from soft, loose curls to tighter, more springy ringlets;
• COILY/KINKY (4A-4C): very tight curls or small zigzag “Z” shaped patterns; May have significant shrinkage and can feel soft, wiry, or spongy to the touch.

• Textured hairs are usually more prone to dryness due to the curvature of the hair shaft, which makes it harder for natural scalp oils to travel down the strands.
• Textured hair is often finer and more delicate than it appears: hair strands tend to wrap around each other, and it is common to have several curl types or textures on one head. The bends and twists create “weak points” and tangling or knots, that require careful moisturizing and gentle detangling to avoid breakage;

My Textured / Happy Natural Curls Routine

Choose how to use our Happy curls 2-in-1, tailored to your hair’s needs:

As a Shampoo

• Wet hair thoroughly. Apply a generous amount to scalp and roots. Massage gently with fingertips for 1–2 minutes to lift dirt and buildup. Work through to ends. Rinse thoroughly.
• Who: Ideal for all curl types needing gentle cleansing, especially if you wash 1–3 times per week.
• Pro Tip: Follow with a few drops of jojoba or grapeseed oil on damp ends to lock in moisture if you have extra dry hair.

As a Shampoo-Conditioner

• Wet hair well. Massage product into scalp, then smooth through sections to coat hair, focusing on mid-lengths and ends. Leave on for 2–3 minutes before rinsing for extra conditioning and easier detangling.
• Great for types 2B–3C curls and waves needing easy detangling, softening, and a streamlined routine.
• Pro Tip: After rinsing, finger-comb hair and scrunch curls with a lightweight leave-in or aloe vera gel for extra definition.

As a Conditioner Rinse-off

• After a mild cleanse (if needed), apply a generous amount mainly to mid-lengths and ends of soaking wet hair. Detangle with fingers or wide-tooth comb. Let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well.
• Especially helpful for very dry, porous, or coily curls needing intensive softness without heavy residue.
• Pro Tip: Finish with a cold-water rinse to boost shine and curl definition.

• Pregnancy and Nursing:
• Contains peppermint essential oil, generally diluted. If you are pregnant, nursing, or sensitive to essential oils, consult your healthcare provider before use.
• Age Suitability: Recommended for adults and children over 6 years. Always patch test for young children or sensitive users.
• External Use Only: Avoid direct eye contact. Rinse eyes with clean water if contact occurs.
