MORE INFORMATION
The Davanone present in Davana oil in major quantities is in fact odourless but may act as an enhancer of the other aromatic compounds; Davana ether and other Davanone derivative present in lesser percentages are the constituents responsible for the characteristically fruity aroma of Davana oil, together with a myriad of other components acting in aromatic synergy.
INFOS AND INTERESTING FACTS
Davana (Artemisia Pallens) is an aromatic flowering herb native to India. A small, simple plant, with uniquely fragrant leaves and tiny flowers.
Davana is a revered plant in India being used in religious rituals, for well-being and health purposes (Ayurveda)and as a flavouring ingredient in traditional drinks and foods for centuries.
Our Davana essential oil is steam distilled from all the aerial parts of the plant in full bloom (leaves, stems and flowers) and has very complex, evolutive and tenacious aroma.
Surprisingly fruity, almost liquor-like, with leafy herbal opening and earthy/old leather/tobacco undertones, Davana essential oil evolves over time and reacts uniquely on each individual, creating a dynamic and very personal olfactory experience.
A unique aroma that one does not expect coming from an herb, our Davana essential oil is used to create superb attars in India, as well as to compose fabulous oriental Mukhalats.
The western natural perfumery world has gladly adopted Davana essential oil to add mysterious notes into Oriental chypre and fougere accords.
Use Davana essential oil for its comforting and relaxing qualities to lift up your moods and diffuse a happy, grounding atmosphere. Its inherent properties also help to keep bugs away and to clear lungs in times of colds.
