Key Features

  • Known as “West Indian Sandalwood” due to its gentle, woody, sandalwood-like scent.

  • Excellent natural fixative in perfumery — helps anchor lighter scents.

  • Rich in sesquiterpenes and sesquiterpenols — contributing to its grounding, calming and skin-conditioning effects.

  • Less costly and more sustainable than true sandalwood, while still offering a soothing woody aroma.

Benefits & Traditional Uses

  • Aromatherapy & Relaxation: Calms the mind, eases stress, and promotes restful sleep.

  • Meditation & Spiritual Practice: A grounding oil, ideal for mindfulness, prayer or ritual settings.

  • Skincare: Anti-aging, moisturizing, and skin-regenerating properties; may help with fine lines, elasticity, and complexion.

  • Hair & Scalp Care: Supports a healthy scalp, helps stimulate hair follicles.

  • Respiratory Support: Can clear congestion and ease breathing in vapor blends (never as undiluted steam inhalations).

  • Pain & Inflammation Relief: Mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory for easing muscle aches.

  • Insect Repellent: A natural deterrent for bugs.

  • Immune Support: May help strengthen the body’s natural defences.
