Organic Myrrh essential oil (Commiphora myrrha) is a 100% pure essential oil extracted from the resin of the Myrrh tree, native to northeastern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

Historically used by ancient Egyptians in embalming rituals and for its therapeutic properties, this potent oil is now valued in aromatherapy, natural cosmetics, and perfumery.

With its warm, earthy aroma, Myrrh essential oil is known to promote emotional balance and tranquility, making it a popular choice for meditation and relaxation practices.

In natural cosmetics, it has been utilized for its rejuvenating and skin-soothing properties, often incorporated into skincare products targeting mature or dry skin.

In aromatherapy and perfumery, Myrrh essential oil (Commiphora myrrha) is valued for its warm, earthy aroma and various therapeutic properties.

Here are some common uses of Myrrh essential oil in aromatherapy and perfumery:

Skin health: Myrrh oil has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and astringent properties that can benefit various skin issues such as acne, eczema, dry skin, and minor wounds. Dilute it with a carrier oil and apply it topically to affected areas.

Respiratory support: Myrrh oil can help relieve congestion and support respiratory health, thanks to its expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties. Diffuse it or use it in a steam inhalation for relief.

Oral health: The antimicrobial properties of Myrrh oil can help maintain oral health and combat bad breath. Mix a drop with a carrier oil or water and use it as a mouth rinse or add it to your toothpaste.

Emotional support: Myrrh oil is known to help reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and promote emotional balance. Use it in a diffuser or add a few drops to a warm bath for a soothing experience.

Immune system booster: Myrrh oil has immune-supporting properties that can help protect against infections. Diffuse it in your home or workspace to create a healthy environment.

Base note: Myrrh's warm and earthy aroma makes it a popular base note in many perfumes and colognes. It adds depth, richness, and a sense of grounding to a fragrance blend.

Blending: Myrrh oil is a versatile blending ingredient that complements various other essential oils, such as frankincense, sandalwood, lavender, and patchouli. Its harmonizing properties make it a favorite in creating sensual and exotic scents.

Remember to always dilute Myrrh essential oil with a carrier oil or use it in a diffuser, as applying undiluted essential oils to the skin may cause irritation.

Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy/breastfeeding

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

As a general rule, always perform a skin patch test before using your essential oils for the first time.

Quality for cost

This oil is very thick and has a great aroma. It works well with Frankincense oil and is very high quality for the cost.

We use it in combination of other essential oils to alleviate muscle stiffness in our daughter with Cerebral Palsy.
