* What Unrefined Rosehip Oil Should Smell Like

A fresh bottle of unrefined rosehip oil typically smells: Slightly nutty, seedy, or warm, a bit Earthy or woody, Like dried tea leaves or herbal hay or Vaguely like fish oil or tomato paste (due to the high concentration of carotenoids and omega fatty acids). 

Because the scent is earthy, and slightly sharp, it is frequently misidentified as "stale" or "spoiled" by those unfamiliar with raw botanical oils.

Please Also note that Unrefined rosehip oil can crystallise, solidify, or become cloudy, especially when stored in cold temperatures. 

Unrefined rosehip oil does not undergo extensive filtration process ( like winterisation , which intentionally removes natural waxes and heavy fatty acids), and Rosehip seeds naturally contain plant waxes and gums. 

Crystallisation is actually a strong indicator that your oil is genuinely pure, raw, and unrefined. 

It does not mean the oil has expired, gone rancid, or lost its potency. To restore your rosehip oil to its smooth, liquid state:

Bring it to room temperature: Simply move the bottle to a warmer room for a few hours. ( or Use a warm water bath, seal the bottle and place it into a bowl of warm (not boiling) water for 5 to 10 minutes); Shake well: Once warmed up, give the bottle a gentle shake to reincorporate the natural lipids and waxes.

Wild roses (Rosa rubiginosa) produce seeds or hips that are extraordinarily rich in essential fatty acids and are considered excellent skin regenerators. 

Rosehip Oil is perfect for normal and mature skin (wrinkles, premature aging, age spots).  It is the champion fighter of stretch marks and scars appearance and is renowned to promote an even and balanced skin tone.
